Published by IT Project Show 2004

The graduating batch of Temasek Polytechnic's Diploma in Business Information Technology (BIT) course has more than one reason to feel confident about the road ahead! They are up to speed with the latest technology and have the business skills to match, making them an asset to any company. Their ingenious business projects will be on display at MeetingYoungMinds@BIT, the final year project show cum seminar series for students and industry partners on Friday, 28 May 2004, at 10am in Auditorium 2 of Temasek Polytechnic. About 200 students, guests from the industry, parents and lecturers will attend the project show and seminar.

Themed 'Shaping Dreams- Today's Students, Tomorrow's Technopreneurs', visitors will get to meet the students behind the 39 projects and find out more about their projects which have come about as a result of working with organisations like Robert Bosch (SEA) Pte Ltd, Daimler Chrysler, the People's Association, New York Dessert Café and secondary schools! Having found a successful niche between the business and the IT world, the students were able to apply their business knowledge and IT know-how into applications which provide IT solutions for these companies. A brief write-up on some of these projects is attached.

Mr Seah Liang Chiang, Managing Director, DSC Holdings Pte Ltd will speak on "Maximising Your Personal Potential" at the opening of the project show. Seven student groups will also present their projects at the opening. Members of the Young Entrepreneurs' Organisation (YEO) will also share their Mentor/Mentee experiences. The programme for the event is attached.
